Zu den Übungen mit hohem Schwierigkeitsgrad zählen vor allem Umformungen von Sätzen und Texten. Ihre Funktion ist es, den flexiblen Einsatz verschiedener grammatischer Strukturen zu trainieren, das Sprachgefühl zu sensibilisieren und stilistische Sicherheit zu vermitteln. Lerner können sich bei der Auswahl der Übungen an den eigenen Bedürfnissen und Lernzielen orientieren. Die Übungen sind in kommunikative und authentische Kontexte eingebunden. Die Themen beziehen sich auf das Alltags- und Arbeitsleben und vermitteln Wortschatz aus beiden Bereichen.
Ein didaktischer Teil im Anhang bietet Anregungen für Lehrkräfte zum kreativen Umgang mit Grammatik. Daneben befinden sich im Anhang Übersichten zu Rechtschreibung und Zeichensetzung, Verben, Adjektiven, Nomen-Verb-Verbindungen sowie Präpositionen und Satzverbindungen in adverbialen Angaben.

The C-Grammar presents German grammar at the highest level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C1 and C2).
It offers an overview and also shows the structures in their complexity and depth with many additional examples and stylistic variants.
For each grammar topic there are numerous exercises in the most varied of forms and levels of difficulty for applying what has been learned. Exercises with a lower level of difficulty serve to clarify, repeat and consolidate the structures. The exercises with a high degree of difficulty include, above all, transformations of sentences and texts. Their function is to train the flexible use of different grammatical structures, to sensitize the sense of language and to convey stylistic security. Learners can use their own needs and learning goals as a guide when selecting exercises. The exercises are embedded in communicative and authentic contexts. The topics relate to everyday and working life and impart vocabulary from both areas.
A didactic part in the appendix offers suggestions for teachers on how to deal creatively with grammar. In addition, the appendix contains overviews of spelling and punctuation, verbs, adjectives, noun-verb connections as well as prepositions and sentence connections in adverbial information.
The C-grammar is suitable as additional material to accompany the course as well as for individual work or as a reference grammar for the teacher.
