This book is presents a collection of texts and exercises and works as both and introduction to the Russian culture of the 15th and 17th centuries as well as helping learners of Russian to improve their reading, speaking and writing skills.
The book is split into sections, with each including texts for study, supplementary reading material and various exercises. There are also many illustrations throughout the book. Additional illustrations are provided on the accompanying CD in Powerpoint format.
The book + CD set is intended for students studying Russian at an intermediate level with an interest in Russian history and culture.
