The course is designed for foreign students with an elementary knowledge of Russian and also for those who used to study the language but forgot quite a lot.
The course consists of a student's book, a workbook, and a teacher's book, as well as a CD for a student and a CD for a teacher.
The student's book includes 8 chapters, each of them consisting of 4 lessons. The fourth lesson of each chapter is a review lesson with the exercises based on the covered lexical and grammar material.
At the end of the book there is a final test provided, as well as the texts to the audio material, answer keys, a short grammar reference, and tasks for communicative practice. The book is intended for study with a teacher both for group and individual lessons.

After finishing the course the students are expected to use Russian efficiently at a basic level (A2 of the CEFR).
