A young man, don Juan, falls in love with a young gypsy girl, Preciosa, a servant of an old gypsy. But, Preciosa, before deciding whether to marry him, makes it a condition that she pretend to be a gypsy for two years. He accepts, but one day, they imprison him and to save him it is discovered that Preciosa is the daughter of the mayor and also that Don Juan is a gentleman.
