This book aims to allow foreign learners of Russian to become acquainted with the works of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, such as 'Shutochka', 'Dama s sobachkoi', 'Tsveti zanozdalie', 'Toska' and 'Drama na okhote'. It helps students improve their reading skills as well as their spoken and written Russian. The texts are broken down into small, accessible fragments and there are exercises to help students study the texts in detail.
This collection of texts is intended for students at the 2nd certificate level (B2) and can be used both with a teacher and as part of independent study.
