Literature in teaching French as a foreign language
While the didactics of literature in French as a mother tongue have undergone great changes over the past ten years, work in the teaching of French as a foreign language and the teaching material produced with reference to the competency-based approach put forward by the Framework Common European of Reference for Languages, have reserved little space for literature. At the same time, several transformations have affected literature, as an object and as a discipline, situating it in a continuum of cultural practices and in an enlarged Francophonie which modify the relations between language and literature. This work therefore aims to provide the keys to understanding what literature in French as a foreign language represents - historically, theoretically and practically, in institutions abroad and in teaching materials. It is aimed at students and trainers and presents them, through analyzes, examples and diversified educational proposals, avenues for making literature the lever of a renewed approach to language, in order to develop skills for both communicative and interpretative, by associating language learning with sensitivity, imagination and thought.
