Corrected from the book Literature of the Francophonie in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) in the Progressive collection intended for older adolescents and adults at intermediate level (B1 / B2). What do Jacques Brel, Marguerite Yourcenar, Aimé Césaire, Ibrahim Souss ... have in common? All of them share the same language, French, and none of them was born in France. This work aims to make discover, understand and appreciate a wide choice of texts belonging to French-speaking literatures. The 66 texts he presents are grouped by themes: Women, Exile / cross the border, Childhood / school .... or by genre: Police investigations Each text is presented on the left page, with the biography of the author as well as the vocabulary explanation. On the right-hand page, guided "Discovery" and "Exploration" activities help the learner in his construction of meaning, in his understanding of texts, in his language learning. Indexes by author and by genre as well as a glossary illuminating cultural and historical contexts and explaining literary terms are found at the end of the book and facilitate its use.
