"I see a great city whose glory will touch the stars", the legendary ancestral mother Libuše is said to have predicted, and it looks rather as if her prophecy might yet come true. Like few other European cities, Prague and its historic heart - protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992 offer a virtually intact representation of the more than one thousand years of its history.
