Η μέθοδος διδασκαλίαςProgress 2 – C1είναι ο δεύτερος τόμος της τρίτομης σειράς Progress. Με το Progress 3 ολοκληρώνεται η εκμάθηση γερμανικών σε τελικό στάδιο, δηλ. στη βαθμίδα C2. ToProgress 2απευθύνεται σε μαθητές που έχουν ολοκληρώσει με επιτυχία τη βαθμίδα Β2. Ανταποκρίνεται πλήρως στις απαιτήσεις του C1 σύμφωνα με τον κανονισμό του Κοινού Ευρωπαϊκού Πλαισίου Αναφοράς για τις ξένες γλώσσες και σύμφωνα με τις απαιτήσεις τόσο του Goethe Institut (Goethe-Zertifikat C1) όσο και του κρατικού πιστοποιητικού γλωσσομάθειας KΠΓ (Griechisches Staatszertifikat - Deutsch C1&C2). Αποτελείται από Kursbuch και Arbeitsbuch και συνοδεύεται από 6 CD, γλωσσάριo και βιβλίο λύσεων. To Progress 2αποτελείται από 14 ενότητες. Κάθε ενότητα εξετάζει έναν θεματικό τομέα, όπως π.χ. επαγγελματική ζωή, εκπαίδευση, πολιτισμός, υγεία, περιβάλλον κ.ά. Η επιλογή και επεξεργασία των κειμένων και διαλόγων έγινε με στόχο ο μαθητής να εξοικειωθεί με ποικίλους τρόπους επικοινωνίας και είδη κειμένων, ώστε να αποκτήσει τις γνώσεις και την ικανότητα να εφαρμόζει κατάλληλα τις γνώσεις του. Η γραμματική παρουσιάζεται και εξασκείται στοProgress C1 Arbeitsbuch.
