About The Author
Prof. Meeta Narain is a philologist, translator, writer and critic, with distinguished contributions in the field of teaching and promotion of Russian Studies. Former professor, Chair, Centre of Russian Studies, SLL@CS, JNU, a visiting professor to the universities in the US, UK, France and Russia, she is the recipient of the prestigious Pushkin Medal, Dr. Radhakrishnan Millennium National Teacher Award, Education Award for Excellence, Modernites Award for Excellence, Opcar Achievers Award, for her contribution in the field of academics, especially in the Russian field. She has several papers to her credit, published and presented at International and National forums
Her areas of interest include Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language, Practical Russian and Communicative Russian Skills, Translation Studies-Theory and Practice, Techniques of Translation as well as Translation for Specialized Purposes. She has a number of books to her credit on various aspects of Language, Translation and Culture Studies.
